EIF 2023 Opening Weekend

The 2023 Edinburgh International Festival Opening Weekend was a celebration of community! We painted Princes Street Gardens yellow for a joyful celebration of Scotland’s homegrown music scene.

We welcomed audiences to The Hub, our home on top of the Royal Mile, bringing audiences and artists together in a new and intimate way. Our Opening Concert saw the Royal Scottish National Orchestra, conducted by Tan Dun, blend Eastern and Western styles in a unique, life-affirming experience.
